Ethics are the rules set by civilization, society, federal, state, county, city, town, village - or whatever you call them in your country.
Knowing the difference is important when you find yourself at a crossroad, a decision needs to be made, you feel a negative or positive energy within yourself, and you want to be able to identify why you feel this way and get down to the root cause of your imbalance or incongruence.
As you grow and evolve in the higher education system you will have a crisis of conscious a time or two. It's part of your journey. It's part of everyone's journey.
Let's get into this so you can identify your ethics and morals, so moving forward you know whose rules you're following. Awareness is the first step. What you do with that awareness will determine your quality of life.

Ep #152 - Your standards drive you toward the completion of your goals. Are your standards high enough for you to accomplish the things you want to in your life? Are your goals to low for your standards so you are causing past them with minimal effort?
Your level of growth mindset versus any remnants of a fixed mindset you accumulated throughout your life will be very present here. If you hit your goals easily, perhaps you are ready to set higher and harder goals to reach. Are your goals attainable yet you are falling just shy of them - it might be time to check in with your standards. Are you working your ass off and coming no where near your goals - perhaps the goals are slightly adjustable so you can get up the next couple rungs with out trying to leap across the gorge.

Ep #149 - Time management. I hear it all the time from my clients, workshop and class attendees, all the way to what people post on the socials.
You don't manage your time as much as your prioritize it, focus it, and create the schedule that will guide you toward the habits that will create for you the life you want.
Grab a piece of paper, write down the P4F like it is below, and get to focusing on what it is you truly want to create for yourself during this day, week, month, semester, school year, and life in general. Trust me or don't and I don't say this flippantly, I have been using this system for three years and I check off task after task and project after project and I have plenty of time to watch football, chill with my girlfriend, and keep up with my friends.

Ep #148 - Mental health is very much tied to your body getting a good burn, or sweat, or your heart getting up there so you know its pumping hard for you. When you feel sad, or depressed, or down, get out there and get your body moving. I am not saying that will solve everything but it definitely will get you out of your head and into your body right then and there.
Let's do some quick math. I know, I know...awwww math! Seriously, quick math. You graduate high school at whatever weight you graduate at. Over the next four years you put on 20 pounds. You leave school and then start adding on 1-2 pounds a year. By 30 you are 20-30 pounds heavier than high school graduation day. By 40 you are 30-50 pounds heavier and on, and on, and on.
Life is not all about looks but life is about being physically able to do things in a way that you don't tax your heart just walking up stairs. Some of y'all are gonna be like, "dude, I work out." Great, that is awesome. In college I did not and yet at 46-years-old I am in the best shape of my life.
You will do what you do and you will care about and prioritize what you care and prioritize. This episode is to open your mind that being active and/or going to the gym is about being a "meat-head." You want be as healthy as you can be so you can be the best version of yourself when you need to double or triple your work time to get that big project in on time, or hit the books and have your mind firing on all cylinders.

Ep #145 - There are multiple areas of your life you will want to create positive/desirable habits around so you can program your mind for success. Good habits, bad habits, all habits are playing their part to create your life for you - so now is the time to choose to direct your habits to create for you rather than against you.
Habits to create: Morning - Studying - Fitness - Boundaries - Phone
- What are things you can do to make it less inconvenient to get into the good habit
- what are things you can do to make it more inconvenient to get into the bad habit
A habit consists of routinized behavior from the subconscious mind so the brain can expend energy doing other tasks.
- Habitws are taking things that were once using conscious thought and turning them into an unconscious process, i.e. a habit
- Cue - want (craves reward)
- Routine - behavior I go through to get the reward
- Reward - getting the outcome that we desired from the cue
The brain dopamine spike comes in anticipation of the reward.
- when I want to break a bad habit I have to fight against the cue
- when I want to build a good habit I have to crave the cue and work for it
You can't really destroy the habit but you can change it. Habits are like water in a leaky boat, you can scoop out the water but more water is right there to take its place. Similarly, taking a habit out of your life creates a vacuum where your mind now wants to create a new habit. If you don't take actionable, conscious thought into the breaking and creating process your mind will be more than happy to do it for you and you can not be guaranteed the mind will choose the best habit for you.
